USBC Youth scholarship application deadlines

Four national scholarship opportunities -- including one new
competition for 2006 -- are available for United States Bowling
Congress Youth bowlers this spring.
Apply nowApril 1 is the application deadline
for USBC's Gift For Life Scholarship, Annual Zeb Scholarship and
the new Who's Who Sports Edition All-Academic Bowling Team
competitions.
Up to 12
Gift For Life Scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded to
USBC Youth members who are high school students and demonstrate
financial need. Two of these awards are reserved for a son and a
daughter of fire department, emergency rescue or police
personnel.
The
Annual Zeb Scholarship -- a $2,500 award -- recognizes a
USBC Youth member who is a high school junior or senior,
achieves academic success and gives back to his or her community
through service. The award also includes an expense-paid trip
for the winner and a parent or guardian to attend the awards
ceremony held in conjunction with the USBC Junior Gold
Championships this July in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Up to 20 USBC/USBC Youth members will be chosen to receive
$1,000 awards as members of the
Who's Who Sports Edition All-Academic Bowling Team.
Selection to this honorary team is based on candidates' academic
and community involvement, but only USBC/USBC Youth members who
are published in the current edition of
Who's Who Among
American High School Students -- Sports Edition are
eligible.
Apply soon May 1 is the application deadline
for USBC's
Earl Anthony Memorial Scholarships, a competition which
recognizes five USBC Youth members for their community
involvement and academic achievements. Financial need also is
considered. These awards are $5,000 each.
Application forms for each of the USBC Youth scholarship
