Clifford Earl Savage 1917 ~ 2006 Clifford
Earl (Pete) Savage, 88, loving husband, father, grandfather and
great-grandfather, passed away on March
16,
2006. Born November 3, 1917 to Charles Earl and Lettie Florence Allgood
Savage. Married his sweetheart Florence Elaine Feveryear on October 9,
1940 in the Salt Lake Temple. Pete, as he was known, loved gardening and
was an accomplished pianist, baker, rock hound and photographer. He raised
beautiful orchids and roses that he shared with others. He was an avid
bowler and golfer who reached the ultimate goal of a 300 game and a
hole-in-one. Pete served as President of the SLC Bowling Association, the
Junior Bowling Association and the Union Pacific Bowling League for many
years. Pete loved scouting and obtained his Eagle Scout. He became a Scout
Master at 19. He served in the bishopric in the 29th Ward as well as many
other callings. He attended West High School and retired from Union
Pacific Railroad after 38 years of service. Pete had a wonderful ability
to make friends wherever he went. He will be missed by everyone. He is
survived by his loving wife Florence, daughters Elaine Houston and Iylene
Latimer (Stephen), 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grand-children, sister
Erma Albertson and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held
Monday, March 20, 2006, 11 a.m., at the 29th Ward, 500 North 1100 West.
Friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. So. Temple and
one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment at Larkin Sunset
