Larry
B. Day Kaysville, Utah Larry B. Day, 72, beloved husband and
father passed away unexpectedly Sunday, March 4, 2007 at the
University Medical Center. He was born July 25, 1934 in Cove,
Utah to Albert and Sophia Biggs Day. He married LaRae Mann
January 16, 1970 in Kaysville, UT. Their marriage was later
solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He was raised and educated
in Cache Valley schools graduating from North Cache High School
in 1952. He was a High Priest in The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints. He served in various positions including,
scouting and high priest group secretary. He served a mission
for the LDS Church at the Bishop's Store House in Mesa, AZ.
Larry served in the US Air Force retiring in 1972 after 20 years
service. While serving he lived and traveled extensively in the
United States and Europe. After retirement he settled in
Kaysville and worked 10 years for the United States Postal
Service and 10 years for RB's One Stop in Kaysville. He spent 12
years of retirement in Mesa, AZ returning back to Kaysville in
2003. He enjoyed spending time with family and attending all
events for his grandchildren. Along with his wife he was an avid
Jazz fan and loved all sports. He looked forward to the annual
dear hunt and bowling with his boys. He was an avid bowler
serving many years as league secretary. He also served 27 years
as a Director, VP and President for the Ogden Bowling
Association. He was currently serving as third Vice President of
the NUUSBC Association and a director for the Utah State Bowling
Assc. In 2003 he was inducted to the Ogden Bowling Association
Hall of Fame. Larry is survived by his wife LaRae, children;
Zane (Debbie) Day, Debbie Boyce (Mark), Crystal Cook (John),
Kaysville; RaeDell Lucas, Kelly (Annette) Day, Layton; Jeff (Ranae)
Day, Farmington; 26 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister, and
by his in-laws, Gerald and Ruth Mann. Funeral services will be
held Thursday, March 8, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Kaysville Spencer
Chapel, 500 So. Main. Friends and family may call Wednesday from
6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main
and Thursday from 12:45 to 1:30 p.m. at the chapel. Interment,
