Although more than 15,000 teams have already signed up for the 2007 United
States Bowling Congress Open Championships in Reno, Nev., the deadline for
entries has been extended until March 30, 2007.
The 134-day event begins Feb. 17 at Reno's National Bowling Stadium and is
scheduled to conclude on June 30. This will mark the 30th anniversary of
the tournament's first visit to Reno and the fifth time it will be held at
the recently-renovated NBS.
More than 75,000 competitors will enjoy all new lane panels, brand new
carpeting and a remodeled squad room to name a few of the changes.
"Although today is our original entry deadline, we decided to extend it to
give more of our members a chance to come and enjoy what Reno and the Open
Championships have to offer," said Roseann Kuhn, USBC Chief Officer of
Tournaments and Events. "Entries have been coming in at a steady pace,
which proves the interest is still there, and we don't want anyone to miss
out on the world's largest sporting event."
Don't miss this opportunity to compete in a tournament that offers a
one-of-a-kind stadium atmosphere. There are plenty of prime spots
available.
